Job Description
Job Responsibilities Will Include:
The successful candidate will oversee various Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) functions in a chemical manufacturing facility targeting the minimization of risk and reducing workplace injuries or environmental impact. Primary responsibilities of this position will be working in operations about half of the time identifying issues and, more importantly, working with operators and supervisors to resolve the issue and reduce risk. The person will be a key member of the behavior-based safety program and conduct classroom along with one-on-one training sessions with operators and supervisors. The successful candidate will also assist with oversight of other safety and environmental functions including, procedure development and enforcement, job safety analyses, new employee training, emergency response, lockout/tagout, confined space, fire protection, etc. This position requires frequent interaction with manufacturing employees regarding safety/environmental related matters and reports to the site Safety, Health, and Environmental Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or another related field
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Behavior-based safety program experience
- Proven ability to be a problem solver who can adapt to the ever-changing priorities of a 24/7 chemical manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to work with all levels of manufacturing employees and is comfortable in a hands-on industrial environment
